Gallery: Dance
I have long wanted to shoot dance performances. But access is difficult. Recently Jacob's Pillow has begun allowing people to shoot performances on their free, outdoor stage. I took advantage of Pilobolus' appearance for the Pillow's 85th anniversary season. I would have preferred to have seen the dances before shooting so I could anticipate and plan a bit. Being able to roam would have also been an advantage. But these, shot in the moment, under the random lighting conditions of the Inside/Out stage while I stayed in my seat still worked out ok.
