Gallery: Pilobolus Big Five-Oh!
I have long wanted to shoot dance performances. But access is difficult. I had the pleasure of shooting 2 days of Pilobolus’ rehearsals for their big Five-Oh! in September 2021. These were shot in actual stage light conditions while they were rehearsing. Considering I do all composition in camera and I don’t do after processing (except occasional minor crops, although none in this series and sometimes watermarking) it takes a lot of time to decide which are good enough to release into the wild. These are the results. Thanks to the whole Pilobolus team for their generosity and inviting me in to their creative process.
